Would you like to taste the real Lake Garda local food and discover its secrets?
The walking Food Experience takes place in Gargnago, a charming village by the lake. The meeting point is the Kiosk of the Franciscan friars’ Convent. Cheese workshop in an old food shop, making typical Italian cheeses and tasting different-aged cheeses flavored with local lemons and capers together with a glass of wine. Visit to an ancient original-structure Limonaia and Italian pic-nic surrounded by the scent of lemons and with a breathtaking view of the lake. Workshop and tasting on Limoncello liqueur. Cheers!

Would you like to taste the real Lake Iseo local food and discover its secrets?
The Food Experience takes place on Montisola Island, a green mountain in the blue of the Iseo lake. The meeting point is at the ferry departure in Sale Marasino village. We’ll take the ferry for a 10 minutes trip to the wonderful Montisola. Visit to the only oil mill of the island overlooking the lake and tasting excellent local Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Exceptional workshop on the ancient drying technique of the Sardina fish, branded ‘Slow Food Presidium’. Lunch on a beautiful terrace by the lake with a 4 course menù.

WINE TASTING & COOKING CLASS | FRANCIACORTA

Do you like cooking and enjoying good food with good wine?
The Food Experience takes place in Franciacorta renowned for its sparkling wines. At Castelveder winery, a high- quality family-run business, we’ll discover the secrets of the production of the Franciacorta method, visiting the winery and walking through the vineyards. The cooking class starts with a glass of sparkling wine and an Italian aperitivo. It will be dedicated to traditional homemade pasta with the best local ingredients. At the end we will enjoy a relaxed lunch or dinner with the dishes prepared together paired with two glasses of wine and a typical Italian dessert. A real food and wine experience!

We are five old friends who like to visit different parts of Italy and learn about its people, culture and food. So it as that we have just spent a day out with the delightful Maria Passoti on Monte Isola, surrounded by the stunning scenery of the mountains and Lake Iseo. Maria is a charming young lady who introduced us to "genuine" local artisan producers of food, who gave us very interesting insights to their labours of love. She also arranged for us to have a lunch which consisted of beautifully cooked fish from the lake in a restaurant on the lake shore - which was a superb meal. Our day out will live long in the memory - thank you Maria".

Maria, a graduate of the nearby University of Gastronomic Sciences owns a Slow Food-focused tour company. She shows us the culinary highlights of the region, which include the sparkling wines of Franciacorta, the dried freshwater sardina from Lake Iseo, a variety of Top Label raw cheeses, local olive oil, and ancient lemon and cedar groves.
